Adult Disability Benefits Applications: A Guide for Service Providers

This training will prepare service providers to help adults over the age of 18 apply for Social Security disability benefits (SSI and SSDI).  Participants will learn the eligibility requirements for these programs, get an in-depth look at the application process from beginning to end, and get resources, strategies, and tips to help people navigate the application process.

At the end of the class, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and explain who is eligible for benefits
  • Explain the disability benefits application process from beginning to end
  • Assist people with completing the application process

Certificates of completion will be emailed to all attendees who complete the evaluation survey within one week. ASL interpretation is available upon request.
