Loan Closets

Loan closets provide free and low-cost medical equipment on a long-term loan basis. Equipment provided includes manual and electric wheelchairs, scooters, lifts, walkers, canes, hospital beds, bathroom equipment, and more.

Washington

Helpline House

Located in Bainbridge Island, Helpline House offers crutches, walkers, toilet and bath equipment, wheelchairs and seated walkers. A deposit is required for some items.

Multiple Sclerosis Helping Hands – Donor Closet

This nonprofit organization provides affordable medical and mobility equipment to individuals with MS, with locations in Edmonds, Spokane, and Tacoma.

Bridge Ministries

Bridge Ministries provides wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, bath benches, and other equipment at little or no cost to low-income individuals with disabilities.

Thurston County Medical Equipment Bank

The medical equipment bank provides free medical equipment and/or supplies to those who cannot afford to purchase their own. Borrowers return equipment when finished. Locations in Lacey and Yelm.

This program, through Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph Catholic Church, provides used medical equipment for in-home use.

A Caring Closet

A Caring Closet is a Clark County nonprofit that provides gently used Durable Medical Equipment to those in need at no cost. They are open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am-12:00pm.

The ALS Association Evergreen Chapter

The Evergreen Chapter of the ALS Association loans out durable medical equipment and augmentative communication devices, free of charge, to individuals with ALS.

ACCESS Durable Medical Equipment Loan Program

ACCESS loans medical equipment at no cost to residents with short-term needs. There are no eligibility requirements and equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Clearview Disability Resource Center Medical Loan Closet

Clearview Disability Resource Center offers a community-based loan closet for individuals who need temporary use of medical equipment. It is available at no cost to anyone in need.

St. John Episcopal Church – Medical Loan Closet

St. John’s Medical Loan Closet offers temporary loans of mobility equipment at no charge. Equipment is typically borrowed for a three-month period, but there is flexibility for longer terms.

Multiple Sclerosis Society of Portland, Oregon, Inc. (MSSP) Equipment Closet

MSSP’s Equipment Closet offers free medical equipment, including manual and motorized wheelchairs, scooters, and canes, to those with MS who live in Oregon or SW Washington.
