Flo

Flo learned about Northwest Access Fund when she was thinking about getting a Liberty Trike, an electric folding tricycle. She had been looking for a mobility aid that would allow her to be more active than her electric scooter. The trike seemed like a good fit, since it would allow her to move her legs without putting too much stress on them.

Flo’s only source of income is Social Security, so she needed to find a way to finance the trike and to make her payments affordable. If she hadn’t found Northwest Access Fund, she might have asked her son to help with the purchase, but she was reluctant to do so.

Flo describes the Northwest Access Fund loan process as “pretty simple.” She received a decision a few days after sending over the necessary documentation, and her trike was delivered to her home two or three weeks after that.

She rode the trike quite a bit while her health allowed, although she found the seat uncomfortable, and has since sold it on to a new owner. An image of Flo on her etrike.
